Years One and Two have been very busy making Easter gifts for the residents and staff at Bethany House Care home. Each resident will receive a basket made by one of the children containing a small egg and some sweets. They will also be given an Easter egg. Thank you to Tesco for donating ten eggs and the SMG PTFA for donating a further 12 eggs. The staff at Bethany House can also enjoy sharing a big box of Easter goodies.

A selection of our St Patrick’s day shamrock art. We cut out a stencil and then used either chalks or oil pastels to go around it. Then we learned how to blend the colours.

World Book Day. We read the story How to catch a dragon by Caryl Hart, designed our own dragons, made dragon flyers, knight’s shields and helmets and met Draco and Matilda, Mrs Vango’s pet dragons.

Maple Class surgery! Doctors Millie, Kacper and Rachel are on duty today to make sure that everyone gets better. Poor Mr Bunny had an ear infection, two broken legs and sore teeth. It was a good job Dr Millie knew about carrot medicine (!) which worked wonders at bringing down his temperature. Dr Kacper performed emergency surgery on lion’s tail and Dr Rachel tended to a Miss Giraffe who was being sick. What a busy day!
