World Book Day 2020
Storytelling Week - What an amazing week we have had. Teachers, parents and year 6 have read to us, we have learnt the Gruffalo story, made a story telling theatre and lots more! On Friday we went to find the Gruffalo in Forest School and ate some Gruffalo Crumble! Yummy!
Windy Day - today it was really windy outside. One of the children asked if we could go outside and feel the wind. We made bubbles and watched them blow in the wind, played with the kites and windmills.
Gymnastic - travelling in space, moving like animals, jumping and landing safely. Today the children turned into frogs and jumped off different equipment from different heights!
Oliver's Fruit Salad - this week we read the story Oliver's fruit salad. We made our own fruit salad and then wrote instructions for how to make it. Our fruit salad's were delicious!
COOL Time - the children enjoy their COOL time where they complete challenges around the classroom. Take a look at what we have been up to this past half term during our COOL time.
Art - We have been learning all about printing and colour mixing with Mrs Speight in Art.
Africa - We have been reading the story Handa's Suprise. Rachel's mum came to talk to us all about where she was born in Africa. We tried on some clothes, looked at pictures and learnt so much.
Chinese New Year
Forest School - We had so much fun in our first Forest School session. We are celebrating Chinese New Year this week so Mrs Dyer made a fire and we cooked noodles, rice and vegetables. We painted a dragon, looked at birds and had lots of fun.
