SMG’s Voluntary Police Cadets

Today we embarked upon our first session for 2019 of the SMG Volunteer Police Cadets. Twelve children from years 4,5 and 6 have been chosen to represent school as a Volunteer Police Cadet.  Working closely with Lancashire Police Officers, we are able to offer this course for our children which covers a variety of aspects of the law, the justice system, services within the police (such as service animals), first aid and much more. They will attend around eight sessions and each session will focus on a specific area of policing. Each week the officers running the course choose a sergeant based on effort and attitude - this week’s successful candidate was Sgt Kinga. What a great first season! A special thank you to Lancashire Volunteer Police Cadets!
